Spanish Courses in Malaga

Enroll in EF’s Spanish courses in Malaga and discover authentic Mediterranean culture in the Costa del Sol’s premier resort city.

Study Spanish in Malaga at our welcoming language school housed in a traditional Mediterranean villa in the lovely Pedregalejo district. Our school is literally steps from the beach and a short jaunt from the storefronts of Calle Larios, the city center’s slick pedestrian boulevard. Outside of your Spanish courses you can head to the beach, a bustling café, or take in the view from atop an 11th century Moorish fortification.

Tucked behind wrought-iron gates and shaded by lemon trees, the unique red façade of our language school in Malaga hosts one of our most intimate and charming language centers. EF’s Spanish courses in Malaga will give you access to modern facilities and our master teachers’ expert style of instruction. At EF Malaga we go beyond traditional Spanish courses and offer special interest classes in Flamenco Dancing and Spanish tourism.

Jewell of the Costa del Sol

Steeped in tradition yet buzzing with life, the coastal city of Malaga balances the relaxed pace of an Andalusian beach town with the spice of traditional Spanish nightlife. When they’re not lounging on the beach, EF students quickly become fond of extending paella lunches into the early evening or spotting signs of Picasso’s influence on the streets of the artist’s hometown.

Malaga is a city where fresh seafood is always on the menu, the mid-day siesta proudly lives on, and Roman and Moorish ruins share the landscape with a sparkling Mediterranean Sea. Go shopping along downtown’s leafy boulevards. Walk among the ruins of the Roman Theater of Malaga, built thousands of years ago. Or just spend your time relaxing on the city’s golden beaches. For EF Malaga students, it’s no wonder that Picasso found inspiration in this city.

Sightseeing & CultureShoppingSports & OutdoorsExcursionsEntertainment & Nightlife
Dig your feet in the sand at the local beach, just a 5 minute walk from EF’s classrooms. Wander among the architecture of the city’s backstreets and explore the hill-side Moorish architecture of Gibralfaro and Alcazaba. Tour the home where Pablo Picasso was born before seeing some of his most-renowned works in the Picasso Museum. Marvel at the stunning Malaga Cathedral, built on the former Grand Mosque. Witness the pageantry at a bullfight at Malaga’s historic bullring and tour the ancient Roman Theater, dating back some 2,000 years.
The pedestrian Old Town is lined with small independent boutiques, highlighted by the glitzy storefronts of the slick Calle Larios. The Plaza Mayor is a modern shopping mall specializing in brand-name stores.
Spend afternoons lounging on the golden sand of La Malagueta beach, a short walk from the city center. Wander around the world-renowned La Conception Botanical Garden. Scuba dive in the Mediterranean’s crystal blue waters or take a lesson in sailing, windsurfing or waterskiing. Head into the surrounding hills for some of the region’s best hiking trails and rock climbing.
Go beyond city limits on the weekends to explore the proud capital of Madrid, hip coastal city of Barcelona and Moorish architecture of Granada. You’ll also have the chance to visit Tarifa, on the Strait of Gibraltar, and glimpse North African culture on a trip to Morocco.
Sample authentic tapas at a sidewalk café on the elegant Plaza de la Merced and see a live flamenco dance performance at the Teatro Cervantes. Watch newly-released Spanish films at the annual Malaga Film Festival. On most nights, you can meander through the winding city streets and let the nightlife unfold before you, as bar crowds spill into city squares.
