We have selected the best housing options for students at our boarding school in Torbay. Whether you choose to live with a host family or in the student residence, you will have quiet places to study and a comfortable place you can call home.
EF Academy's international school in Torbay has four off-campus residences which are located about a 12 to 20-minute walk away from the academic building. Students eat breakfast and dinner in the residence building before and after school and can buy lunch from the school dining hall on campus. House parents live with the students, ensuring they are safe and that they are in their rooms by curfew, and house tutors support them with homework in the evenings and on weekends. They also oversee the supervised study hall sessions, which take place in the residence. A full-time nurse employed by the school is on duty daily.
Host family students live with local families and are immersed in traditional British culture and enjoy a comfortable home environment. Whether they live in the residence or with a host family, students have access to quiet study areas at the school (and lounges in the dormitory) where they meet with their classmates (and roommates) to study and hang out.
