Your day-to-day as an online teacher
You don’t need prior teaching experience to be a fantastic online English teacher.
Your qualifications
Our team considers all aspects of your professional background when determining qualifications for a contract. Experience in early childhood development, coaching or mentoring is preferred, but not required. Life experiences definitely count. However, everyone must meet the following requirements to start teaching:

How much can I earn teaching kids?

Base fee
(up to) per hour
Start at $13.20 an hour and easily earn up to $20 an hour with the following:
- Student Services - $3.00 per hour paid on top of the base fee for all classes in a calendar month, if you don’t cancel any classes within 24 hours of the class start time in that month. Eligibility resets each month.
- The “60” - $2.30 per hour paid on top of the base fee for all classes in a calendar month, if you teach more than 60 classes in the month. Eligibility resets each month.
- Surge Hours - $1.50 per hour paid on top of the base fee for Monday-Friday classes with start times from 6:00am-8:30am EDT and weekend evening classes from 9:00pm-10:30pm EDT.
