Plans can change — if you cancel at least 60 days before your course, we’ll refund 80% of the course fee. See our flexible 

70% of our students add this for additional peace of mind. With cancellation protection, EF will refund your course fees if you have to cancel your trip because of a personal illness or the illness of an immediate family member. In all cases, a medical certificate must be submitted within 10 days of the cancellation. It’s a one-time payment that gives you flexible cancellation protection up until you depart.

You can access your EF accommodation the day before the course begins and check out the day after it ends to help you adjust and travel comfortably. Courses start on Mondays and finish on Fridays.

Trips during high season are subject to a small extra fee, which will be automatically added to your final price. Dates without this fee can be found by selecting Mondays without a highlight in the calendar.

EF Intensive is best for faster progress, personalized learning, and a focused, high-impact experience. It’s the most popular option with EF students from around the world. 

The course structure includes extra special interest lessons for faster, more targeted results, alongside language lessons, projects, and lectures.

EF General is ideal for consistent progress, a flexible schedule, and a well-rounded mix of learning and travel.

EF Intensive includes more weekly lessons, so students choosing a U.S. destination may need a different visa type, which can come with its own costs independent of EF.

How does the monthly payment plan work?


Your registration fee is due today to book. This includes your enrollment fee and, if selected, the cost of your cancellation protection.

Your balance is split into equal payments that are automatically deducted. Your first payment is charged 7 days after booking, and the remaining installments follow monthly. The final payment is taken at least 30 days before you depart for your course.

Travel insurance is mandatory for all students. Through our partner Erika Insurance Ltd., EF includes comprehensive travel insurance designed for our students. It covers illness, accident, repatriation, program interruption, theft, delay, and liability.

You can request to opt out from the insurance provided after booking if you prefer to use your own. However, there are specific requirements and deadlines to do so. Speak to your EF Study Advisor for more information.
