Why enroll in international volunteer programs?
The EF Volunteer program contains two components: language-learning and volunteering. You'll spend your mornings in one of our dynamic schools developing your language skills so that you can communicate easily in your new language. Then you'll spend the afternoon in the local community as an international volunteer while working with an established local community outreach group. This two-part course will push you to develop the skills you need to have the perfect volunteer abroad experience! You'll be giving back to your new community while greatly improving your language skills through immersion both in and out of the classroom.The EF Volunteer Course is offered year-round in several amazing locations:
- Costa Rica
- France: Paris or Nice
- Spain: Barcelona, Malaga or Madrid
Volunteering abroad
What better way to really get to know a new culture than by engaging in the local community through community service? Becoming a volunteer abroad with the EF Volunteer Course will allow you to put your new language skills to use helping local students, protecting and preserving the local environment, or lending a hand to healthcare programs in the area. As a volunteer abroad, you'll get to work both with local community members and with other international volunteers from all around the world. A summer spent in EF's international volunteer program will help you return to school or college with a new global awareness as well as significantly improved abilities in your chosen language.
